My name is German and is pronounced "Ka-r-iin" (not Karen). I was born and raised in Germany.

Artist Statement:

In this life and in this world, we seek answers. We seek to beautify and harmonize our space, to heal what needs to be healed. Exploring my own spiritual journey a few years ago, I began to channel symbolic art as a catalyst to transform life. 

The reason I create is to challenge myself to experience a new perception of my world. Through the art I create, I then also challenge the viewer to see new perceptions. I do this by rotating and viewing each creation from different angles. With each new angle I ask: "What do I see? And how do I feel about what I see?" Through these various angles of viewing, I gain new answers to my questions and ultimately, new hope. Through this process, viewers are invited to experience total freedom of interpretation. 

My inspirations are vivid colors, which have energy enhancing properties. The art itself emits its own energy; it can guide the viewer to experience inspiration and heal. Using the ancient art of Feng Shui, I enjoy transforming living spaces to create balance, harmony and peace. 

Biography:

My passion of healing art is more than a hobby - it is huge part of my life. I didn't follow a straight and narrow line in my life. I've tried many different jobs, and studied various careers. What I really am is a writer and artist. I studied Early Childhood Education in my twenties, worked in the field for four years, and got severely burned out. I went back to school for a degree in Social Work and (graduated at 30) and worked throughout my thirties as a counsellor and client support worker. I was painting at the time of my social work studies and beyond and created a large body of art work. Soon seeking more knowledge and a niche helping people, I enrolled in Life Coaching with CoachU and had my own life coaching practice (Inspirit Consulting Services) for about a decade.

Many workshops such as Feng Shui, Art courses, Art Therapy, Therapeutic Touch, NLP, and so on followed. Now in my early fourties, my last position in the Social Work field was as a Volunteer Coordinator/Executive Director for Inn from the Cold - Kelowna. Using my creativity, web knowledge, people and coaching skills I took charge and completely overhauled this organization. What a job that was! Even today, the website, programs, and database I implemented are still being used there.

As for my art, 32 of my favorite art pieces became part of the Art Guidance Cards I created and used for counselling, coaching and healing. The Art Guidance Cards were sold internationally to countries as far away as China, Australia, USA and Europe. Later the Art Guidance Cards spawned into a self-guided process on GuidanceCards.com. And because so many life and business coaches loved the Art Guidance Cards for their clients, I had them created as full-fledged digital program which coaches can buy at GuidanceCoach.com.

I believe that in this life and world, our souls want to be healed, whole and light. When looking at my paintings, I challenge you to see new perceptions. Each painting is a metaphor to be viewing life situations from different angles. I love that my paintings have become transformational, guiding people in their healing journey.
